Things to do around the house

A while back, I wrote about Home Alone, the classic family movie, a Christmas tradition for some.

A habit of mine is to flip through printed materials for ideas and etc.

I never knew I was more of a learn by doing person until recently.

It's great that I have strength in my body and some dexterity.

I still drop things and shivers a little when I am nervous for trying to do something for the first time ever or doing something I find easy and difficult to do at the same time.

Cleaning my room and reorganizing the backyard has been truly memorable. It also reminded me of the phrase "wear and tear".

In my home, there are a lot of "weared" materials but they can still be tear some more.  For example, it took me a few seasons to break down the fence that has been teared down and left unattended.  The original two men team did not budget for a clean up crew.  I've been diligently breaking the fence down by taking nails out with the back of my hammer and stacked my WIP neatly at a corner each time.  The fence required more processing as rusted screws or nails were still sticking out!  By the end of this process, i came to know the hammer quite well.  I also have some used wood stocked in the shed.

I also had to axe down a few broken branches of trees on my family property. Harsh winters and all (Not talking about this past winter btw). By the end of this raw wood breaking process, I remembered the novel titled "the hatchet" which was read because it was part of the curriculum.  This book was part of a series so I ended up borrowing the other novels in the series at the local library for further reading during summer or on weekends.  Reading, definitely a favourite past time.

While cleaning messes left by my family or nature, I saw unfinished projects or unnoticed projects throughout my home for when I have time.  Here is my highlights:

1.  I will be upgrading three of my dolls because sitting on the shelve and collecting dust has damaged them.

2.  I might try to finish my attempted driveway maintenance work from grade 5 or 6.  The ugly unfinished work is still there.

3.  I plan to add a window to the attic!  I have never been to the attic before, but I've noticed that people started adding windows to the attic area of their garage.

The attic I believe is a great place for keeping pets like rabbits and birds.

Signing off, the occasional blogger

Hopefully, you remember what Tuesday is!
