My almost four season dog walk gear is still going strong

At the beginning of March last year, I wrote about my almost four seasons dog walk gear.  You can read about it on my post of March 2, 2017.

In my post of March 2, 2017, I featured the clothes I wear on a daily basis during my dog walk.  I am still wearing the same gear.  I failed to show an image of my mittens and headgear.  I don't wear a beanie anymore, I wear a sporty ear muff, hood-up (this is the hood on the hoodie) or a winter hat with pigtails.  All of these additional winter gears are easily purchasable or find-able (as in people tend to drop them and leave them on the ground - Finder's keeper!).  I don't really wear a scarf because I tend to run and my hoodie also function as a scarf or I could zip up my vest.  Basically, I am a walking mummy, no wind can break through.  By the end of my walk or run with Okee I am usually all sweaty on the inside.  I am extremely warm and comfortable during my walk with my four seasons dog walk gear.

In terms of boots, I have finally put into good use my red running boots, they are knee high!  People used to make fun of me because they were red and so I didn't wear them often.  It's great support for the heel and knee. As I live at a suburban close to city area, I am not at a mountain where I can to run across soft white clean snow all the time, that is why I cannot simply wear mukluks because I come across hard pavements (complete with black or gray dirt) most of the time which is very harsh on the knee.  If I was running on a mountain, I would run around in mukluks all day (especially after a big snow fall).  Authentic mukluks are very warm and quite waterproof.

Anyways, today I slipped on ice but I am not injured at all.  I fell sideways and into my cushiony clothes! It's funny, you fall when your body is relaxed.  I was walking the last stretch and then I slipped sideways and laughed.  I am just trying to reiterate that is it important to dress in layers in the winter to keep your self warm, block the wind and provide you with cushioning in case of any falls.

Seeing the Q in others

As you may know, my beloved male dog, QQ, passed away a while ago.  During my many dog walks with my lone dog, Okee, I have come across two dogs that reminded me of QQ.

The first one looked like QQ and I saw it when it was not more than a few months old.  I couldn't help but think that it was the rebirth of QQ or something.  I didn't see this dog until many months later and I said hi to it and its owner again.  I asked it's owner "Is this blah blah?", the owner said yes and I was like, "wow, blah blah grew".

Today, I saw a dog with QQ's features in terms of paws and manners.  I couldn't help but smile when I saw how it reacted to Okee.  Its appearance is a bit different from QQ but I saw a lot of QQ in it.  I couldn't help but tell its owner that I found it very cute.  QQ was a very cute dog so any dog that resembles him would automatically be cute.
