Time Table

Dear my non-existent readers,

In my non-english blog, I have written about how my father tried to structure my very first summer by providing a timetable for me.  It didn't work.  For a more detail account, you will have to read my non-english blog.

Anyhow, now that I am an adult,  I agree with his approach.  There are many things I want to do and time is limited.  I am going to set up my time table so that I productively use my time in a balanced and structured way.

I will share my timetable when it's ready.

I am done with research and development in terms of how I want to use my time, my current skill levels, what I want to practice and what I want to learn.  During this process, I also reviewed the methods of learning and reawakened my ability to imagine and discover.

Hope you are all doing well otherwise my condolences.

Tickets during COVID-19

I have never received a verbal warning or ticket for violating traffic laws or by-laws.

Prior to COVID-19, two common ways for people to receive tickets for violating traffic laws or bylaw were as follows:

1. Speeding with your car
2. Letting your dog off-leash at a leash area

In the past, people have gotten away without paying the fine of a speeding ticket by disputing the ticket at court and having it dismissed simply because the officer who handed out the ticket did not show up to testify.

In the off-leash dog park area, usually the bylaw officer just give dog owners verbal warnings and that's it.  Sometimes dog owners let their hand off the leash while the leash is still hooked to the dogs collar which mean the dog is not off leash.

Now with COVID-19, I have heard in news that bylaw officers are handing out tickets for people not maintaining physical distance.  I think the tickets are possibly disputable.  If you were handed a ticket, it's time to dispute because we are all grounded anyways.

I find it very funny to see yellow tape or caution tape all over park playgrounds.  I believe the mentality behind that is because they don't want young children showing up at hospital for injury not caused by sickness at this time.  With that said, if your children accidentally injure himself or herself hopefully you, the parent, already know how to treat an open wound.  If you don't already have a First aid kit, now would be a good time to assemble one.  I have one collecting dust since forever ago.  It consist of alcohol wipes and bandages.  You don't have to buy those fancy first aid kit.  You can easily and cheaply assemble one yourself.

You are welcome.

Okee reminds me of Q

I am still walking, jogging, running, sprinting or hopping with Okee.  In recent months, I have even more epiphanitical (a word I may have made up from epiphany) moments with Okee.  As Mr. Q is no longer with us our position in our running line has changed.  I used to be the middle between the three of us.  Thinking back, both of them pulled and sometimes they pulled at the same directions and other times they pulled at opposite directions.  I was the stabilizer.  I stopped them when they both want to travel the wrong way; i decide which way to go when they were in disagreement; and i force them to keep moving when we stood for too long.

Mr. Q has always been on the losing end of the line as he likes to smell plants for longer or stops for too long when we come to any crossings.  We lose a lot of time when he refuse to move and have to wait again for the next time we could cross.  Back to current walks, I tend to let Okee lead but sometimes her judgement is just incorrect.  She is also very stubborn at certain places, so it's hard to change route.  The movements that I used to see in Mr. Q, I now see in Okee once in a while.  It's quite funny.

It's nice when I let Okee lead though because we are still walking the same places but just on a different path.  For example, today I was at a path where there are two parallel pedestrian route (there are yard space, bicycle lanes, car lanes between the two pedestrian routes).  I usually travel at one pesdestrian path but not the other.   The view of the bend was completely different.

Today we also jogged uphill with her, when I looked at her to see if she was tired, she actually had a huge smile on her face.  Turns out she was happy to follow me and, perhaps, not tired at all.  Sometimes I wonder if she is just playing with me.

It's a tug a war with Okee everyday.  Each walk is just slightly different.  We enjoy moving together very much.

P.S. I noticed that she walks differently with others.

Things to do around the house

A while back, I wrote about Home Alone, the classic family movie, a Christmas tradition for some.

A habit of mine is to flip through printed materials for ideas and etc.

I never knew I was more of a learn by doing person until recently.

It's great that I have strength in my body and some dexterity.

I still drop things and shivers a little when I am nervous for trying to do something for the first time ever or doing something I find easy and difficult to do at the same time.

Cleaning my room and reorganizing the backyard has been truly memorable. It also reminded me of the phrase "wear and tear".

In my home, there are a lot of "weared" materials but they can still be tear some more.  For example, it took me a few seasons to break down the fence that has been teared down and left unattended.  The original two men team did not budget for a clean up crew.  I've been diligently breaking the fence down by taking nails out with the back of my hammer and stacked my WIP neatly at a corner each time.  The fence required more processing as rusted screws or nails were still sticking out!  By the end of this process, i came to know the hammer quite well.  I also have some used wood stocked in the shed.

I also had to axe down a few broken branches of trees on my family property. Harsh winters and all (Not talking about this past winter btw). By the end of this raw wood breaking process, I remembered the novel titled "the hatchet" which was read because it was part of the curriculum.  This book was part of a series so I ended up borrowing the other novels in the series at the local library for further reading during summer or on weekends.  Reading, definitely a favourite past time.

While cleaning messes left by my family or nature, I saw unfinished projects or unnoticed projects throughout my home for when I have time.  Here is my highlights:

1.  I will be upgrading three of my dolls because sitting on the shelve and collecting dust has damaged them.

2.  I might try to finish my attempted driveway maintenance work from grade 5 or 6.  The ugly unfinished work is still there.

3.  I plan to add a window to the attic!  I have never been to the attic before, but I've noticed that people started adding windows to the attic area of their garage.

---
The attic I believe is a great place for keeping pets like rabbits and birds.

Signing off, the occasional blogger

Hopefully, you remember what Tuesday is!

More Shit to come

Okee and I continues to use our feet a lot so we continue to eat and rest.  We can still shit therefore I have been diligently collecting all of her aware shit.

I am planning to dig a few holes and just put it under some bricks layed on unpaved soil.

I am not sure if I should do that because I am scared it might damage the soil by hardening it or I might put some unknown disease into the yard so for now I have put them into some isolated pots that usually break easy when empty after a hard winter.

That Q Dog

When I was young, I enjoyed a lot of good action movies.  There are always many funny fight scenes involving the use of chopsticks.  One scene is an empty restaurant and the wait staff fighting off mosquitoes or one fly with only the use of only one pair of chopstick.

It is very important to know how to use chopsticks properly or you will be like Mr. Q who kept looking at the shadow of a fly and kept trying to jump on it, a soft front land each time and all of a sudden take am empty air bite to the side while wiggling the tail at the same time.  Perhaps Q was practicing mixed martial art with the fly all the time.

Other chopstick jokes include picking dog shit up with a pair of chopsticks or being paid a penny for returning a match box filled with as many flies as you can find.

Out come the newspaper to figure out how to get rid of pest.

Chopstick, dog, newspaper all like to follow some sort of pest.

I still remember cutie Q.

Dog Apparel turned into healing item for human

Recently, when I was cleaning, I located a doggie backpack I purchased for Okee a long time ago.

I bought this backpack when it was on sale.  Meaning it cannot cost more than ten bucks. In fact, I think I got it for five dollars.  Unfortunately, Okee doesn't like to wear stuff so she only wore it once or twice.

I like that the colour of the backpack is sharp and has cute little paw prints on it.

As you may know, people lose things all the time when they stroll around their neighbourhood in a leisurely manner.  As a result of such behaviours, I have picked up enough tennis balls to fill the entire backpack up.

This backpack is actually great for back support.  I am injured so it holds my back steady. It is also great for an arm rest.  Very adjustable for someone that has the same or similar bone frame as me.

Now I know why that old man in the movie UP has tennis balls at the bottom of his walking cane!

Some photos for your reference.
look nice wings, no?

Happy new year

Okee is still here and well.

We have renovated the room where Q used to shit diahrea or vomit before his passing.  He actually passed away in that room.

I slept in that room a few times and I think he might have kissed me goodbye recently.

I've been singing karaoke in that room ever since!

The other day, I was thinking that Q had a mind of his own.  He was not like others.  He was stubborn and if he doesn't want to move, he will not move.  If he sees his favourite type of tree, he would not hesitate to go over to it and stretch his back while rubbing against it.  I think he must be attracted to the smell of that type of tree.

He was so cute! He was so seemingly dumb that he was adorable!

It has been weird walking without him.  I finally realized he and Okee together gave me the perfect balance during our dog walks.  They pulled in opposition directions!  Now I am constantly missing one side.

Okee used to just pull ahead while Q held back.  They rarely pulled forward together.  They enjoyed running off to this field when they were off leash though.  Recently I tried to take a stroll with Okee and she did not want to go so we did not go there.  I guess that's her secret spot with Q.
