Crate vs. Washroom

I have never crate trained any of my dogs; however,  I would like to argue that the washroom can function as a crate and more.

It's not nice to lock your beloved domestic dog in confined spaces.   This is telling from Okee's reaction to being locked in the washroom.   She would scratch the door,  whine and let out an extremely bad body odour.  Obviously,  she is never locked anywhere,  period.  She hates narrow spaces, etc.  For example,  on walks,  she always speed through narrow paths.

I tried to make her stay in the washroom before because I wanted to play hide and go seek with her.   You see with my late collies,  they would stay in the washroom and wait till my command before they open to loosely closed door and come search for me.   Couldn't do this same game with Okee and Q because they won't stay.  They would go into the washroom and run back out.

With that said,  unlike my collies,  I cannot ask them to dry themselves with the towel in the washroom.

So yeah washroom > crate
